JDE Compositions

     Specializing in scores and ambience for film, radio, video games and haunted attractions, I started JDE Compositions to further my passion for composition and scoring, while also liberating myself from the confines of any specific "label" of music. 

     

     A musician and composer of twenty years in various disciplines. In response to the growing popularity of the music of owner and CSRA native J. Daniel Edenfield, JDE Compositions, LLC was formed in 2014. Daniel’s first musical endeavor was under the name Throne of Anguish (formed in 1999), a band that specializes in extreme metal music. As a long-time fan of the horror and haunt industry, Daniel released his first classical ambient album, “Shade of Night” under the band name Throne of Anguish in 2012. Immediately the album began to generate positive reviews, and in 2013 Throne of Anguish released “A Tale of Shadows”, an even grander audio production, the first to utilize scripted narratives telling a horror tale.

 

     Because of the confusion that the different musical styles would cause fans, Daniel  created a new musical score, “The Night Keep”, which focuses solely on Cinematic Gothic Horror. In October of 2014, The Night Keep released its debut album “In Musicka” to critical acclaim. In addition to musical scores, Daniel hosts a monthly podcast, “The Night Keep Podcast” where he discusses horror topics in film, television, video gaming, music, and literature.
